Yes, you could choose to build link popularity and increase your MySpace page rankings, but why not invest that in a permanent asset?

I feel MySpace is good place to showcase demos and prove your fan base through the number of fans.  Not much more.  (Mind you, it already downcodes the quality of your audio, so it's not that great in those respects too.  Another big reason why I rock the Facebook Pages.)
